LEXINGTON, Va. (November 11, 2024) – The Rockbridge Area Tourism Event Sponsorship Opportunity is now open for requests. The Rockbridge Regional Tourism Board offers sponsorships for tourism events occurring in Lexington, Buena Vista, and Rockbridge County on a biannual basis.

Sponsorship applicants must be organizing an event located within Lexington, Buena Vista, or Rockbridge County, Virginia and occurring between January 1 and June 30, 2025. Requests should not exceed $3,000 per event. Rockbridge Regional Tourism Board will award monies based on the strength of the application, including the events potential to attract out-of-town visitors and how well it aligns with regional tourism goals and objectives. A total of $10,000 is earmarked for distribution, though total disbursement is not guaranteed.

The window for completing an application for sponsorship is November 4 through December 1, 2024. Awards will be announced Friday, December 20, 2024 and funds will be distributed during the first week of January.
