The mission of the Buena Vista Police Department is to enhance the quali­ty of life for the citizens in the City of Buena Vista by working in partnership with the community to enforce the law, preserve peace, reduce fear, and maintain order.  Our mandate is to do so with honor and integrity, while at all times conducting ourselves with the highest ethical standards to main­tain public confidence.  Our Department will treat every citizen with courte­sy, professionalism, and respect, and enforce the laws impartially.
